no, not a reference to the famous golden gate park parties but to the newest indulgence in town, the oh-so-good cream puff crafted by beard papa's.  a japanese chain just hitting our shores, this cult-ish dessert purveyor only does one thing, but it does it well.  granted, it has vanilla bean, chocolate, and a special flavor of the week, but all share the fresh flaky puff pastry shell with a sprinkling of powder sugar.  

made to order in plain view of the always long line, beard papa's cream puffs have no preservatives and use natural grown vanilla beans.  plus, their logo is oh-so-japanese cute. 

looking for the next hot franchise (though watch out for a krispy kreme-esque fall-to-earth)?  look no further…
